Contributor Agreement

This Contributor Agreement (“Agreement”) governs all content submitted to Modely (“the Platform,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) by writers, brands, public relations agencies, and other contributors (“Contributor,” “you”).

 

By submitting content to Modely, you agree to the terms below.

 

1. Eligibility

You confirm that:

  • you are at least 18 years old

  • you have the legal right to enter into this Agreement

  • all submitted information is accurate and lawful

 

2. Ownership of Content

You retain copyright ownership of your original written content.

However, by submitting content to Modely, you grant us a:

non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to:

  • publish

  • edit

  • format

  • display

  • distribute

  • promote

the content across our digital platforms, social channels, newsletters, and syndication partners.

This license allows Modely to maintain published archives permanently.

 

3. Image & Media Rights (Critical Clause)

You confirm that:

  • you own the rights to all images, videos, and media submitted, or

  • you have obtained proper licenses or permissions for their use

You agree not to submit:

  • copyrighted images without permission

  • media sourced from subscription platforms (e.g., stock libraries, streaming services, paid photo agencies) without valid licensing

  • content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights

You accept full legal responsibility for any unauthorized media submitted.

Modely is not liable for copyright violations caused by contributor-submitted materials.

 

4. Originality & AI Use

You confirm that submitted content:

  • is original and not plagiarized

  • has not been published elsewhere (unless disclosed and approved)

  • does not violate any contractual or legal obligations

If AI tools are used in content creation:

  • the Contributor must ensure factual accuracy

  • the content must be edited and reviewed by a human

  • the Contributor remains fully responsible for the material

 

5. Editorial Rights

Modely reserves the right to:

  • edit for clarity, tone, formatting, and SEO

  • modify headlines and structure

  • add internal links and references

  • reject or remove content at our discretion

Submission or payment does not guarantee publication.

 

6. Sponsored & Brand Content

For paid or brand-submitted content:

  • the Contributor must disclose any commercial relationship

  • Modely may label content as “Sponsored,” “Partner,” or “Brand Feature”

  • all claims must be truthful and not misleading

We reserve the right to reject promotional content that does not meet editorial standards.

 

7. Prohibited Content

Contributors may not submit content that:

  • is defamatory, illegal, or misleading

  • promotes hate, discrimination, or harassment

  • violates advertising or consumer protection laws

  • contains malware, hidden links, or spam

 

8. Compensation

Unless otherwise agreed in writing:

  • contributions are voluntary and unpaid

  • sponsored content is subject to agreed fees and deliverables

Modely is not obligated to provide payment unless a formal agreement exists. Compensation, if applicable, will be issued by Casmir, the operating entity of Modely.

 

9. Content Removal

Modely may remove or update content:

  • for legal reasons

  • for editorial updates

  • for policy violations

Published content may remain in archives for record and indexing purposes.

 

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Modely harmless from any claims, damages, or legal disputes arising from:

  • copyright violations

  • unauthorized media use

  • false or misleading statements

  • breach of this Agreement

 

11. Global Scope

This Agreement applies to contributors worldwide.

You are responsible for complying with the laws and regulations of your jurisdiction.

 

12. Acceptance of Terms

By submitting content to Modely, you confirm that:

  • you have read this Agreement

  • you agree to all terms

  • you have the authority to grant the rights described above
